An the teachers are faced with 3 strikes and you're out. They got the dreaded 3 year deal that does not take into account what inflation is going to be. Watch out because the nurses, fire brigade, local authority employees, and then us will get beaten with the same stick. The blood from all the rest will still be wet.
We all know real inflation is a lot higher than they Gov't make out but their words mean they are totally inflexible. They have deliberately given the first year award for teachers at 2.45% to rub in the fact they have shafted us.
3 More years.......3 more years.
It really is disgusting. In the end of the day without public sector workers the country would stop. I know how much work teachers do (my ex was one), and I can only imagine the horrors and hours of the police force.
Stupid government.
It's a good job we love our jobs so much we'd do them for free then, isn't it?! ;o)
Just keep repeating to yourself:
It's a vocation... It's a vocation... It's a vocation...
(Well, that's what they keep telling me...)
